Crime Prevention stall at Guy's Hospital

Today, officers from your local neighbourhood policing team alongside the Southwark Council wardens delivered a crime prevention and community engagement stall focused on robbery, mobile phone snatches, and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) offences.

The event was organised in direct response to concerns raised by victims of these crimes within the local area, including members of NHS staff who have been affected whilst travelling to and from work. The aim was to provide practical crime prevention advice, increase awareness of personal safety measures, and offer reassurance to those who live, work, and visit the area.

A key feature of the event was free mobile phone property marking, with 31 phones successfully marked and registered. This initiative helps deter theft and assists police in identifying and returning stolen property to its rightful owner.

The stall generated positive engagement with members of the public, and NHS staff. Attendees welcomed the opportunity to speak directly with officers, discuss local concerns, and receive advice on protecting themselves and their property from crime.
